Know your Product – Roof Sheeting

There are a number of alternative sheet metal products on the market and an important part of the roofing game is to know your product. LCP Roofing uses top-of-the range ZincAL® and Colorplus® coil supplied by Safal Steel and rolled by Safintra Roofing. Both companies form part of the Safal Group, the largest steel roofing company in Africa.

There are many factors to consider when choosing the type of sheet metal to use and these are based on the specific parameters of a given project.

1. Composition

ZincAL® and Colorplus® consist of rolled steel continuously hot dipped into a mixture of 55% Aluminium, 43.5% Zinc and 1.5% Silicon Alloy.
